And it was after the first goal where cameras appeared to catch Di Maria fire a barrage of expletives at the United fans.It’s not fully clear what was said – some believe he shouted ‘f**k off’ – and you can have a look at the video below to judge for yourself.

There were also some unsavoury scenes in between both goals when a group of United fans on the other corner of the ground threw a bottle of beer at their former player’s direction.Di Maria took it pretty well, however, electing to pick the bottle up and pretend to drink it.4

Di Maria made light of the taunting throughout the match, and the Red Devils flop will be overjoyed he had the last laugh against his former team.
