And keen on rejuvenating his side, president Florentino Perez seems set to offer him as part exchange for playmaker Eriksen, who is in his sixth season at Spurs but will have just one year left on his current contract come July.Attempts from Tottenham to get the Dane to sign a new deal have so far stalled, which could mean his exit is inevitable, which may make a swap deal a sensible outcome for all parties.According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United also have interest in Bale as they look to bolster their attack, while Chelsea are similarly keen but have a transfer ban hanging over them. Robert Pires, meanwhile, has suggested Arsenal should ‘open the door’ to a shock deal for Bale.He said:“I think there’s a good chance Gareth Bale might be playing his last season atReal Madrid,” Pires toldbwin.“He is having a very tough time on and off the pitch at the moment, and there are a lot of questions about how settled he is in the dressing room and how appreciated he is by the fans.2
