Bayern are arguably the favourites to go through as they are at home and managed to prevent Liverpool from taking a lead into the second leg.However, superstitious Liverpool supporters might point out to the last time the two sides faced each other in the competition.They met in the semi-finals of the European Cup in 1981 and after drawing 0-0 at Anfield in the first leg, Liverpool made it through on away goals – securing a 1-1 draw in Munich before going on to win the competition.2
