During a glittering career spanning 19 seasons until 2017, he rejected the opportunity to switch to a more traditional centre-back number.Terry is considered one of the greatest Chelsea players of all time, and his explanation why he kept the number for all those years will only further endear him to Blues fans.“When I broke into the first team at Chelsea that was my number and I had seen some fans with my name and number on their shirts,” Terry wrote on Instagram.3
