James Tavernier is the latest footballer to be the victim of racist abuse on social media.The Rangers captain shared an offensive message he received on Instagram – adding a shoulder-shrugging emoji to the post.1

The message read: Hello black. U r f***ing dog s*** and should be playing for black.N**** n****.The post came six days after Tavernier took part in the Professional Footballers Association campaign in protest at an escalation of incidents of racial abuse online.
